The Opportunity
Our location in Abbott Park, IL, currently has an opportunity for a Sr Financial Analyst Financial Planning & Analysis supporting Corporate Financial Services (CFS) / Shared Services Operations (SSO). This role is responsible for building strong business partnerships, and counseling executive management in the following specific activities: global value creation and initiatives, financial planning and analysis, forecasting, management financial reporting, internal controls and asset management. Comprehensively oversee, direct and coordinate key aspects of the CFS/SSO Financial Planning processes and ensure alignment with Abbott Corporate and CFS/SSO business requirements.
What You’ll Work On:
- This position is responsible for driving results through innovative value creation and initiatives for continuous measurable improvements. Specifically, manage and coordinate with key business partners in the preparation business review presentations and related backup/analysis. The presentation, backup, and analysis must be comprehensive and include the assessment of all data and assumptions, used in the planning development, for reasonableness and the degree of achievability of these forecasts.
- Responsible for integrity and validity of financial information (P&L, Cash Flow and Capital), which is critical to the organization in making timely and informed business decisions which support Division/Corporate goals and objectives. Successfully manage risks and opportunities using external and internal signals and data.
- Manage and maintain capital planning calendar, activities and financial templates to support Plan/LBE/Actual requirements across the division. Monitor progress of capital planning process with CFP&A and prepare reports/analysis to support Plan/LBE/Actual requirements for Capital Authorizations, CAPEX and Project Expense.
- Maintain close relationship with key business partners in CFS/SSO and commercial divisions. Advise these stakeholders based on insights, expertise and diverse perspectives.
- Responsible for understanding drivers, KPI’s and metrics in key areas of the business. Clearly communicate accurate and relevant information which result in timely decisions and actions.
- Prepare various management presentations, relevant data, financial analyses, special projects and related consultation to senior divisional management in planning and achieving short and long-term financial objectives.
- Oversee and coordinate internal key management financial reporting for CFS/SS0.
