Summary
SVP, Syndications is a strategic leader responsible for the performance, growth, and direction of CAHEC’s syndications platform. The role oversees equity and debt operations; leading high-performing teams in alignment with CAHEC’s mission, values, and organizational objectives. The role is focused on delivering excellence in corporate governance, operational execution, team development, and organizational culture. The position is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The employment classification for this position is exempt.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
A. Essential Functions
(40%) 1.0 Operations Oversight

- Provide strategic oversight and leadership to the Vice Presidents of Investor Services, Acquisitions and Risk Management, and Asset Management (Direct Reports) ensuring each department operates effectively and meets performance standards.
- Ensure all aspects of corporate governance are current and compliant with industry-best practices.
- Ensure syndications governance protocols are followed and updated, as needed.
- Oversee timely and accurate preparation and delivery of Board communications and reports.
- Serve as the primary signatory for applicable lower tier, upper tier, and administrative documents and provide back-up approval for funding and wiring needs.
- Collaborate with Direct Reports and Director, Human Resources to develop and approve staffing plans, job descriptions, recruitment strategies, and compensation packages in alignment with organizational policies and best practices.
- Collaborate with Direct Reports and Director, Human Resources (as needed) to address employee relation issues including performance improvement plans, grievances, and leaves of absences.
- Provide performance management coaching and guidance to promote employee success and growth.
(40%) 2.0 Strategy and Plan Execution

- Mentor and empower Direct Reports to lead effectively, collaborate cross-functionally, and develop emerging leaders within their teams.
- Foster a supportive performance management culture, ensuring leaders provide ongoing feedback, perform monthly one-on-one coaching sessions, and complete annual formal reviews with input from the Director, Human Resources.
- Lead proactive succession planning efforts, supporting the recruitment, development, and promotion of talent in alignment with organizational needs and growth.
- Ensure a clear understanding of department and corporate objectives and key results (“OKRs”), supported by accurate, audit-ready financial and operational reporting.
- Lead the development, execution, and evolution of Syndications’ annual budgets and OKRs while adjusting strategy in response to changing internal and external factors.
- Strategize with CEO, CFO, Direct Reports, and other key roles in leadership to shape, promote, and reinforce CAHEC’s culture and vision.
- Appoint and support project leaders for syndications’ business process and technology initiatives and actively monitor progress to ensure successful outcomes.
