We invite you to bring your finance leadership and your people skills into play for this newly created, high-profile role as Finance Director, Ramboll Americas with responsibility to lead our Business Finance function in the Americas.

With dual reporting lines to the Global Business Finance Director in Europe, and the Managing Director, Americas you will be a critical part of driving our growth journey within the United States through Mergers & Acquisitions, financial process implementations and change management with the support of our global finance organization.

This is a great opportunity, and we are focusing heavily on strategic and people leadership, as well as financial leadership experience to be successful. You must have dynamic leadership, communication & collaborative skills to lead a business-oriented finance function comprised of regional teams supporting business in many locations. Prior experience driving business controls for project-based finance disciplines such as business planning, budgeting, and forecasting, monitoring, and driving business performance and results are required.

We are currently growing our presence in the United States through organic growth as well as acquisitions. Currently, Ramboll has 70 offices in the US with the main office in Arlington, VA (Washington DC). The location of the position is expected to be in Arlington and will follow our hybrid model of in-office working 2-3 days/week. 

You will be supporting the Managing Director and the American Leadership Team and heading our Business Finance Organization in the US including smaller subsidiaries.

The Finance Director will be the Financial Business Partner for the Leadership Team of Ramboll in the Americas on our strategic growth journey.

As a member of the Americas Leadership Team, the Financial Director will help be responsible for driving the financial part of the M&A and Post-Merger-Integration processes, the strategic development of the office footprint in the Americas and various other strategic cross-markets initiatives including shaping the business culture.

In addition, as Head of Business Finance, you will be leading our Business Finance Team in the Americas. This team is comprised of approximately 45 Business & Project Controllers locally in the United States and some 25 team members in our Indian offshoring Centre in Delhi, India, supporting our growing consulting and engineering business in the markets of Environment & Health, Water and Energy and smaller markets like Henning Larsen Architects and Management Consulting. You will be part of the Global Business Finance Leadership team.

Your key tasks and responsibilities as Finance Director will be:

• Supporting the Managing Director of Ramboll Americas on strategic development initiatives and being an active part of the Leadership team to drive profitable growth, cost control and efficient working capital management.
• Assuring solid financial management support to M&A processes and leadership of post-merger-integration processes in the US to achieve the strategic growth ambitions for Ramboll in the Americas, particularly the United States, including development of the office footprint.
• Overseeing financial processes for the Americas Business Units including financial plans, budgets, forecasts to support strategic decision making, ensuring financial stability and accurate and timely financial reporting to the Americas Business Unit and on behalf of Americas to Group Executives.
• Identifying and managing financial risks for the Business Unit and developing strategies for managing.
