Product Engineer Medium Power Converters

We are currently seeking a Product Engineer Medium Power Converters  to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo, Italy!

 

The Global Medium UPS Product Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and functional knowledge of the products to support development and sustaining activity for the Medium Global UPS product line.   Responsibilities include knowledge of mechanical and electrical assemblies, defining, executing, and interpreting results from engineering tests. The Product Engineer shall verify that the product meets the design requirements to meet product definitions and market expectations.   Additional responsibilities include defining opportunity for value engineering analysis to reduce the cost of the product, support field engineer for special applications in field and supports the service for field issues. 

 

What kind of work will you be doing?

 

• Support the products during their life cycle, transfer the lesson learned collected in field to the engineering team, work in conjunction with the design teams to develop test cases to verify the products features.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineer to analyze the product cost.
• Evaluate alternative components and solutions that eventually can be adopted during the life of the products.
• Analyze specific applications providing active support and service.
• Work with the Service team Coordinate the activities and provide the necessary documentation to start the Change order processes.
• Cooperate with other engineering functions during the definition of the product specification.
• Support the testing team for the definition of the test plan and review the test results.
• Produce technical documentation in line with the process requirements such as drawings, component specification. 

 

What will make you successful?

 

• Excellent planning and communication skills are required.
• Good knowledge on electrical power components.
• Good knowledge of the PLM (Product Life Cycle management) and processes.
• Good team working attitude and communication.
• Customer oriented and availability to travel.
• Good English language knowledge.
• University degree or technical diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Experience in equivalent areas (e.g., UPS, Power converter or low voltage electrical distribution) is a plus.
• 2-5 years of experience.
