QUALITY TECHNICIAN - CMM PROGRAMMER

We are seeking a full time CMM Programmer- Operator with 2-5 years of experience programing with Zeiss Calypso per CAD drawing requirements. CMM operator is responsible for writing programs per drawing requirements.  Salary is commiserated with experience, and compensation for this position is between $35-40/per hour.  HYDAC offers employees a comprehensive medical/dental/vision plan, paid holidays, PTO, 401k with company matching, FSA account, short term disability and life insurance, and pet insurance along with continuing education assistance.

You will make an impact in this role by:

• Operates and program Zeiss CMM – Calypso software, and modify programs for measurements.
• Utilize CMM fixtures, attachments and accessories to determine best method for clamping parts for inspection, writing work instruction.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing operation to ensure part quality.
• Maintain the calibration of CMM and other measuring equipment & tools.
• Contribute to the team effort by maintaining a positive attitude. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Key skills and attributes for success include:

• Minimum 2+ years of CMM operations including programing and controls.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, and ability to read complex blueprints and SolidWorks models.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Good communication skills, and organizational skill with the ability to multitask
• Ability to follow inspection process, and inspection equipment, including, but not limited to calipers, micrometers, gauges, and comparator.
• Willing to demonstrate flexibility in working hours to support off shifts to support business needs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Experience And Education:

• Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology or equivalent from technical school preferred, 2-5 years related experience in CMM Zeiss Calypso programing.
• SolidWorks knowledge preferred.
• Understanding of manufacturing principles and SPC process a plus.

Safety and Personal Protective Equipment:

• Must adhere to all safety rules in force for the location you are in while performing your job responsibilities. This includes at a customer or supplier location.
• Must meet requirements for PPE in specific manufacturing areas when you are in those areas including safety shoes and safety glasses.
