JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Business Initiatives (BI), will report directly to the Director of Business Initiatives for the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program at Step Up For Students. This role is responsible for strategically cultivating partnerships with educational providers, community organizations, and stakeholders across Florida. The role focuses on enhancing outreach efforts, driving engagement with families who benefit from scholarships, donors, schools, providers, and partners, and ensuring that all initiatives align with the organization’s mission. The Senior Manager of BI will also drive strategic planning, monitor performance metrics, and support the growth and expansion of the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit program throughout the state.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
◦ Serves as a liaison between Step Up, Step Further (SGO) and external organizations, including educational nonprofits, advocacy groups, governmental agencies, and corporate partners.
◦ Develops and executes networking strategies to foster collaboration and resource sharing, ensuring smooth implementation of scholarship tax credit mechanisms across diverse communities.
◦ Facilitates regular stakeholder meetings and presentations to educate potential partners on program goals, guidelines, and impact.
◦ Coordinates with Fundraising team to deliver consistent messaging and brand alignment for all campaigns.

◦ Collaborates with communications teams to craft compelling messaging and outreach materials that highlight the program’s benefits and success stories.
◦ Identify, approach, and cultivate relationships with organizations positioned to advance the goals of the federal scholarship tax credit initiative.
◦ Monitors partnership effectiveness and adjust strategies to optimize impact and reach.
◦ Solicits feedback from program participants to inform continuous improvement and innovation.
◦ Shares feedback from external stakeholders to the leadership team to ensure successful implementation of FSTC.
◦ Collaborates with the Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications, FSTC.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
◦ Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, marketing, communications, business administration, or related field.
◦ Minimum 5 years of experience in the education sector, school choice, nonprofit sector, or related sector, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
◦ Proven success in fostering and maintaining key relationships with multiple stakeholder audiences.
◦ Demonstrated success and a proven track record in professional/life experience in specific job functions, projects, or industries, and military service can substitute for the formal education requirements.
PREFERRED:
◦ Knowledge of Florida’s scholarship programs and the education choice realm.
◦ Familiarity with CRM systems.
◦ This position requires residency in Florida to effectively support families, donors, and school partners across the state.
