HR Officer

As Virtuagym keeps on growing, we are now looking for a new face to complement our People team based in Amsterdam. As HR Officer in the People team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR operational and administrative activities. What this role looks like

As our HR Officer, you'll be a key player in ensuring our team has a smooth and enjoyable experience. You'll get to learn and grow alongside experienced professionals, contributing to all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You’ll frequently be in touch with employees within the organization, answering any questions they may have. You take pride in creating a great employee experience together with your colleagues in the People team, and supporting them in any way you can. In this role, you will become an awesome allround people generalist in no time. Our People team is a close-knit team that consists of 5 enthusiastic professionals. You’ll report to the Chief People Officer. 

Some of your key tasks

• Onboarding & Offboarding: Helping to create a warm welcome for new hires and ensuring a smooth departure for those moving on, in which you’ll work closely with our Talent Acquisition Team.

• HR Administration: Managing employee data, contracts, and other administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

• Employee Support: Being a go-to person for employee queries and providing helpful and timely assistance.

• Payroll Processing: Assisting with the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll.

• Employee Benefits Administration: Managing employee benefits programs, including enrollment and answering employee queries.

• Visa Administration: Supporting the administration of visa applications and renewals for international employees.

• Looking with a critical eye to your day-to-day tasks, and evaluating how processes can be improved.

Requirements

What you will bring to the People team

• Between 0-2  years of experience in an administrative and/or client-facing role, preferably in a People Team or recently graduated from an HR study.

• Fluent in Dutch and English

• Bachelor's Degree in HRM, Business Administration, or other relevant field.

• Ability to quickly learn new systems and online tools

• A genuine passion for people and a desire to create a great workplace.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities

• A proactive and can-do attitude.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
