What will I be doing? 

ü Work with team to develop policies, plans, and initiatives to expand quality early childhood education opportunities in the region support the management and oversight of TRS activities in the region

ü Aid in the development collaborative relationships with employers, parents,

ü advocates, schools, childcare providers, and others to expand the availability of

ü and access to quality early childhood education and supports for families and

ü children

ü Work with TRS mentors to ensure they are giving providers the supports necessary

ü to make improvements to obtain certification or to increase their TRS certification

ü level.

ü Work with team to develop policies, plans, and initiatives to expand quality early

ü childhood education opportunities in the region support the management and

ü oversight of TRS activities in the region

ü Provide oversight to TRS assessors, as they review providers to determine if they meet the requirements to obtain certification Adding notes to Taleo check from interviews!! Supports the Gulf Coast Workforce Board, its Education Committee, the Executive Director, Senior Manager and Principal Administrator in developing quality early childhood education and strategic partnerships plans, initiatives, and policies

ü Collaborate with Texas Workforce Commission and contractors to ensure all child care providers participating in our child care program have a TRS rating

 

Key Qualifications

ü Knowledge and experience within the Child Care industry and the Texas Raising Star program.

ü Access to an established/existing base of contacts/connections within the Child Care industry.

ü Self-starter, critical problem solver, “can do” attitude

ü Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

ü Ability to understand child care providers needs and craft solutions

ü Able to demonstrate experience with computers and software applications, including Microsoft Office
