What you will be doing: 
This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, overseeing deliverables, and ensuring client satisfaction.  
As an ICF Marketing Account Manager, you’ll work directly with our clients to understand their needs, goals, and expectations. You’ll also closely collaborate with our internal program and creative teams to deliver high-quality work on time and on budget. 
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.  You should have previous experience across account management, project management, and marketing. You’re able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, solve problems creatively, and build long-term relationships with colleagues and clients alike. 
You’ll also have the opportunity to manage and mentor local junior staff. Working together on client accounts, you’ll delegate and oversee efforts while providing support and growth opportunities. 

Responsibilities Include: 
• Manage a portfolio of clients and act as their main point of contact 
• Develop and implement marketing strategies and plans based on client objectives and budget 
• Provide related marketing advisement to clients, internal program and creative teams 
• Lead the creation of B2B and B2C outreach campaigns, sales tools, social media, and other marketing deliverables 
• Monitor and report on the performance and results of marketing activities 
• Provide feedback and recommendations to clients and internal teams to optimize marketing efforts 
• Manage day-to-day client requests build strong relationships, confidence and trust 
• Manage and mentor junior marketing staff 
• Attend 2-3 in-person client meetings monthly in downtown Los Angeles and quarterly events the region  
• Manage marketing budget and develop monthly forecasts 
• Partner with business development to draft proposals and budgets for new business. 
 
 
What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field 
  • 6+ years of experience in account management, project management, or marketing, preferably in an agency setting 

OR

  • 10+ years of experience in account management, project management, or marketing, preferably in an agency setting 

AND

  • 2+ years of people management experience 

     
What we would like you to have:

  • Familiarity with current marketing platforms (email, survey, social media management etc.) 
  • General knowledge of energy, environment, and climate industries 
  • Agency experience  
  • Familiarity with B2C marketing

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Attention to detail and quality 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing market trends and client needs 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
