Tasks

Your tasks – this is what awaits you in detail

• You define and refine the product vision and strategy for both the search engine and recommender engine, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and user needs
• You lead and mentor two cross-functional teams, consisting of engineers, data scientists, and analysts, to deliver innovative and effective search and recommendation solutions
• You conduct in-depth user research and A/B testing to gather insights on user behavior, preferences, and pain points, informing product enhancements and new features
• You analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to search accuracy, recommendation relevance, and user satisfaction, using data-driven insights to guide product decisions and optimizations
• You stay on top of advancements in search and recommendation technologies, leveraging industry best practices and competitor insights to drive continuous innovation and maintain a competitive edge
• You prepare and deliver regular updates and presentations to stakeholders, highlighting product performance, roadmap progress, and strategic initiatives

Profile

Your profile – this is what we expect from you

• You have multiple years of hands-on experience building, optimizing, and scaling search and recommender engine products in an online marketplace or similar environment
• You possess a strong engineering and/or data science background, with a deep understanding of search and recommender systems, including their underlying algorithms and infrastructure
• You have a proven track record in leading cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery
• You are highly data-driven and outcome-focused, with the ability to define, track, and analyze key performance metrics, and translate insights into actionable strategies
• You are customer-obsessed, with a strong ability to identify user pain points and derive innovative solutions that enhance the search and recommendation experience
• You are passionate about working in an international, English-speaking team and are eager to embrace our company culture and values
