Grand Design RV is currently looking for an Advanced Product Development Specialist. As a Grand Design team member in this role, you will validate and approve new products through advanced testing protocols to guarantee performance and fuel our innovation roadmap.

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Spearhead performance validation for new components and prototype coaches, ensuring 100% adherence to safety and road-worthy standards.
- Developed and executed comprehensive performance test procedures (electrical, NVH, thermal, and environmental) to validate system reliability.
- Engineered non-destructive testing (NDT) methodologies, documenting processes, and evaluating results to enhance product quality and compliance.
- Drive root cause investigation of field failures, analyzing component failures and documenting corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
- Innovated test strategies within the Advanced Product Development group, interfacing with internal cross-functional teams and external vendors to advance new components and projects.
- Selected, validated, and optimized testing technologies and equipment to enhance the speed and accuracy of component approval.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of related, hands-on mechanical and electrical work experience.
- Valid state driver's license with a Chauffeur's endorsement.
- Skilled in RV hitching, towing, and maneuvering.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documentation and team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical, HVAC, or Electrical certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Knowledge: Previous RV knowledge and hands-on experience.
- Familiarity with industry-related codes and safety standards.
- Previous forklift experience
Physical Demands
- Requires constant standing, walking, and bending
- May need to lift, push, and pull between 30-60 lbs.
- Some travel may be required, 5-10% of the time
- Able to work early and flexible hours
