Job Description

Purpose

We are seeking a Director of Data Strategy to join the Finance Transformation team. The Director will be responsible for Data Strategy and will oversee the strategy, design, implementation, and management of the organization's enterprise finance data foundation. This individual will lead a team dedicated to delivering our enterprise financial systems and ensuring effective governance of the data within those systems. This role will also be responsible for setting strategy and aligning Finance goals with AbbVie’s Enterprise vision. 

This role will be responsible for leading a team focused on enterprise financial systems, with a specific focus on enable additional capabilities within our SAP environment and supporting the implementation of related technology programs from a Finance perspective.  This role will require collaboration with Finance and Enterprise stakeholders to build an enterprise data strategy that leverages data and insights for informing our finance and wider business strategy. 

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring the effective capture, storage, analysis, and utilization of data assets, as well as optimized analytic tools and systems. 

• Leads and develops a high-performing data analytics team responsible for providing enterprise-wide data insights to steer business strategy and decision-making. 

• Creates a data-centric approach to support business questions, decisions, and actions by assisting with the development of an analytics and data roadmap.
