About the Position:

We are looking for an efficient Human Resources (HR) Administrative Assistant to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. Reporting to the HR Coordinator, you will facilitate daily HR functions such as resolving employee general HR inquiries, updating employee records and supporting the onboarding process.

The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of Human Resources, recruiting, as well as administrative responsibilities. They will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations. To succeed in this role, you should be familiar using HR software and tools.

Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results of the HR department and the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday (Remote)

Pay: $45,000 - $55,000 Annually

Responsibilities:

  • Administer new hire onboarding processes, including: gathering required paperwork, processing I-9 Forms, pre-employment screenings and setting up new employees in HR systems.
  • Coordinate Employee Offboarding paperwork and logistics for employees leaving the company.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS, ATS and HR personnel files.
  • Assist with employee relations activities such as serving as an initial point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions, policies, and procedures.
  • Support HR policies and procedures implementation, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Provide support in employee benefits administration.
  • Facilitate new hire reference and background checks as assigned
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and wellness programs.
  • Process payroll tasks such as verifying and approving timecards, tracking employee leave balances, and ensuring accurate pay distribution.
  • Participate in special HR projects and initiatives as assigned by HR Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in HR coordination or related role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
