The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics seeks a Clinician Educator and a Clinician Investigator to join the Division of Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine faculty as Assistant or Associate Professor.
The Clinician-Educator with GME interest and experience will provide direct outpatient primary and subspecialty care and teach residents and fellows in the multidisciplinary Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine (AYAM) teaching clinic and the inpatient consultation service. For this position, 80% of the time will be devoted to serving as the fellowship training program director, delivering clinical services, and teaching and supervising trainees in clinical practice.
The Clinician-Investigator will devote a significant portion of their effort to developing or sustaining their research portfolio to produce scholarship and develop competitive grant applications. In addition, they will proactively collaborate with the clinician-scientists in the Division of Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine as a part of our team science model. They will also serve as a Faculty Physician in Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine. This includes clinical service in the Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine practice as a preceptor and subspecialty service provider, service as the consulting physician and overseeing fellow consultants for local/state contracts, and inpatient consultation on-call service shared with the other Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine faculty members.

Qualifications
The Clinician candidate should be a board-certified pediatrician, licensed to practice medicine and prescribe all pharmaceuticals in the State of Maryland. A strong research background in pediatric basics as well as clinical science is desired as evidenced by prior research activity, publications in the relevant area, formal training in this area, and the acquisition of extramural funding. The position will include teaching of advanced practice practitioners, fellows, residents, and medical and graduate students in the clinical and laboratory setting.
