 Job Description Summary

The Ready-Mix Dispatcher and Customer Service Representative works in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to fulfill the needs of customers throughout the Greater Rochester area. He or she answers the phone promptly with an accommodating tone of voice, takes the customer’s order for ready-mixed concrete in a detailed, timely and professional manner, and records accurate delivery and product information on that order. This position reports directly to the Customer Service Manager.

Job Duties

• Dispatch concrete mixer trucks to efficiently service customer jobs
• Typical workday for the closing Dispatcher begins at 7:30 am until the last load arrives at the jobsite (typically 4:30pm but depending on workday could be much later).
• Take and process customer orders for ready-mixed concrete accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with QC, sales, and operations personnel to ensure effective delivery of concrete.

• Organize and send requested reports and/or order information to customers and/or internal personnel
• Schedule drivers for next days schedule using command concrete reporting software.
• Other duties assigned 

Requirements

• Candidate must be energetic and customer friendly with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel
• Phone skills including multi line systems
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision
