About the role

JOB SUMMARY
Safety Sensitive Position

Maintain and perform duties under established policies for clinical procedures, objectives, safety and environmental/infection control.
Cooperate with other personnel to achieve objectives and maintain good employee, office and public relations. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Reports to: Practice Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent - Required
Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college - Preferred
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Licenses:
MEDICAL ASSISTANT REGISTERED CREDENTIAL FROM WA STATE WITHIN 2 MONTHS OF HIRE

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conducts intake activities with respect for patient’s privacy and rights.
Assist the nursing staff with general patient care activities within the scope of a Registered Medical Assistant certification.
Job Description
Schedule diagnostic tests for patients as ordered by the Provider.
Assess patient need for assistance in completing forms. File paper work in the patient’s chart as directed.
Answer the phone and take messages or inform the nursing staff to triage calls.
Maintain stock levels on supplies and assist the nursing staff in ordering supplies.
Keep the exam rooms stocked and clean to maintain adequate patient flow.
Conducts front desk check in/out procedures. Files or pulls medical records as directed.
Files signed dictation in the medical record.
Schedules patients for new/established or follow-up appointments. Make calls to patients to confirm appointments.
Proficiently works with computer systems for communication and maintenance of patient health information.

Wage Scale: $16.66 - $23.92
