The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Manager to lead the BGS Growth Strategy for future commercial airplanes. This Senior Manager will report to the Core Strategy Director of Boeing Global Services. This role is primarily located in Everett, WA in the 45-802 building. 

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

As a senior manager on the BGS Core Strategy team you will have a key role in cultivating and executing an innovative portfolio of projects, including defining our Services Strategy for future commercial airplanes.  The work to define our future is dynamic, interdisciplinary and fast-paced and we are looking for leaders who can engage and thrive in this exciting environment. 

Success in preparing for a future commercial airplane involves collaboratively developing, assessing and recommending solutions to partnerships, IP, business model design, and other facets of our services strategy. This is a complex, open-ended and iterative challenge with a goal of achieving a compelling solution for our customers with aligned incentives among our supply chain partners.

The ideal candidate will build trust & relationships and work collaboratively with a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders including C-Suite leadership. They will be able to place complex projects into actionable milestone-based plans and lead senior-level teams through execution. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver compelling presentations to senior leadership audiences and challenge quo thinking with facts and data. They should also have subject matter expertise in at least one of the major IPTs (Systems, Cabin, Digital, Structures & Propulsion).

The Aerospace industry is evolving rapidly, and the BGS Strategy team is focused on defining and accelerating the top strategic priorities for BGS – Boeing’s multi-billion-dollar global enterprise serving the commercial aviation aftermarket

 Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the services strategy for the future commercial airplanes and evaluate new product offerings and business models

  • Work closely with BGS business leaders and BCA Product Development leaders to develop actionable lifecycle growth plans related to the company’s access to intellectual property (IP)

  • Partner with BCA on supplier engagements to develop aftermarket business models   

  • Guide and coach an experienced team through complex and creative issues Lead via influence, and in collaboration with, many stakeholder groups and leaders

  • Strategic and analytical thinking, which is essential to tackling complex topics

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience using critical business and financial acumen in order to influence and shape strategy

  • 3+ years of experience working across multiple business units and functions and interfacing with key stakeholders

  • 3+ years of experience performing in a leadership role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Program management & P&L experience

  • Supply Chain experience, including contracting experience

  • A strong leadership style that motivates and inspires excellence and innovation

  • Understanding of aerospace industry dynamics, competitive positioning from traditional and non-traditional companies and global trend impacts
