Software Engineer

Our partner is seeking an experienced Software Engineer proficient in Java or Python (Full Stack or Back End) for a position in Plano, TX. As a member of the Software Engineering team, the candidate will contribute to designing and delivering technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.

Responsibilities:

- Participate in the design and development of scalable and resilient systems using Java or Python and JavaScript.

- Write, comment, and unit test code to ensure the highest quality of software modules.

- Build Microservices for the internal and public cloud platforms.

- Collaborate with teams across regions and time zones.

- Contribute to scrum team stand-ups, code reviews, and other ceremonies.

- Handle critical and time-sensitive concurrent tasks, escalating situations as needed.

- Write test cases, leverage unit and integration testing, and develop functionality and automation.

- Maintain technical acumen through continuous learning opportunities.

- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in product and technology delivery flow.

Requirements

- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in an enterprise environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages.

- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.

- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.

- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
