Overview
The Global Open Banking team is looking for a Senior Cloud Software Engineer to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical and agile mindset.
Role
In this role, you will:
• Participate in the implementation of new systems, develop strategic thinking and develop process, tools, and frameworks to help ensure effectiveness across teams
• Plan and execute maintenance, upgrades, and migrations activities in different environements as Dev, Stage, and Prod
• Design and develop resilient scalable infrastructure that avoids downtime and service interruptions
• Interface with external logging, monitoring, and security vendors
• Build out infrastructure as code, standard system images, and application images in Docker
• Oversees and provides technical support to junior team members
All About You
Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:
• Experience with AWS Cloud, developing solution offerings for new and existing Cloud projects. Demonstrate a intermediate level of knowledge and understanding of various AWS service offerings including VPC (NAT Gateways, Internet Gateways, Routing Tables, Subnets), aspects of EC2 (Auto scaling groups, launch configurations, spot instances, reserved instances, volumes, and different types of load balancers
• Kubernetes experience, managing large scale kubernetes clusters. Experience with kops provided cluster, alternate CNIs and managing scalability of the cluster
• Infrastructure as Code Experience, demonstrate Intermediate to Advanced level of programming methodologies used to augment terraform using Python, bash, or Go and related programming tools such as VSCode and git
• Participated in the code review and deployment process
• Experience in backup and restoration of kubernetes clusters
• Be creative with solutioning yet be simple with implementation
