We encourage professional development to ensure you bring innovative ideas to our products while satisfying your own intellectual curiosity.</p> <p><strong>WHAT YOU'LL DO</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the design and build of cloud-native tax applications and analytics that directly influence tax optimization across the firm</li> <li>Shape the architecture and technical direction of the tax technology stack to drive long-term scalability, resiliency, and performance improvements</li> <li>Develop new software features and enhancements across frontend and backend systems using test-driven and agile methodologies</li> <li>Design and implement scalable data processing solutions for large data volumes to support tax allocations, reporting, and analytics</li> <li>Build user-friendly interfaces and optimize backend and database performance to ensure fast, reliable tax workflows</li> <li>Automate system upgrades, monitoring, and controls while integrating with internal and external vendors and services</li> <li>Collaborate with DevOps and operations teams to resolve incidents, leverage continuous integration pipelines, and improve deployment automation</li> <li>Document technical designs, conduct code reviews, and promote software engineering best practices across the team</li> <li>Partner with tax stakeholders and other technology teams to deliver cross-departmental initiatives and translate business requirements into robust solutions</li> </ul> <p><strong>WHAT'S REQUIRED</strong></p> <ul> <li>10+ years of professional software development experience with primary experience in Java and exposure to Scala</li> <li>Proven expertise in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture principles</li> <li>Experience building full-stack applications with attention to user interface design and backend/database optimization</li> <li>Demonstrated experience designing and implementing systems that handle large data volumes and scale reliably</li> <li>Strong SQL development and debugging skills with relational databases</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Node.js and designing and building RESTful APIs</li> <li>Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript for frontend development</li> <li>Experience building microservices and deploying on Kubernetes-based plat
