All employees are responsible for Food Safety, Quality, and Personal Safety. Food safety and quality issues or potential issues must be reported to the QA Supervisor or QA Manager. Plant safety issues should report to the Safety Manager. It is important to remember to carry out all job assignments as assigned.
Job Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:
Job includes but is not limited to:
- Must obey all SAFETY, USDA, HACCP, & PLANT rules and regulations.
- Ensure all department employees are present.
- Ensure employees follow plant rules, safety rules, and GMPs.
- Follow up on previous shift’s issues.
- Review start/stop times for accounting/payroll.
- Ensure work areas are clean and are operating in a sanitary manner.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians for ongoing new hire training.
- Training employees according to your area schedule and conduct meetings.
- Maintain department running.
- Supervise the PM on the weekend.
- Inspect received supplies.
- Operate within standard operating procedures.
- Assist and maintain the PSM program as assigned.
- Premises are maintained structurally sound.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and operating at proper parameters to maintain and meet Animal Welfare guidelines.
- Equipment is maintained in a condition to support sanitary operating conditions and prevent foreign material contamination.
- Perform any duties required by management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have good communication skills (both written and oral).
- Must be able to work weekends and overtime.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift and climb.
Reporting Relationships: Maintenance Manager
You will be trained through:
- Orientation program conducted by Human Resources.
- On-the-job by supervisor or their designee.
- Safety briefs from the safety department.
- Ongoing and/or annual training to meet specific needs from your supervisor including GMPs/Personal Hygiene, Allergen Management, and Food Defense
Schedule:
Sunday- Thursday
1:00 pm - 9:30pm
Could change shift later down the road
Employees are scheduled to work two Saturdays within every six-week period.
