Our purpose is to nourish the world, while safeguarding our environment for future generations.</span></p> <p><span>Reporting to the Site Manager and based in our Ballitore site, we are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join the team.</span></p> <p><span><strong> </strong></span></p> <p><span><strong>Key Responsibilities;</strong></span></p> <ul type="disc"> <li><span>Plan, organize, and direct optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations</span></li> <li><span>Responsible for the execution of the production plan and ensuring demands of central planning and customers can be met by the Ballitore team</span></li> <li><span>Manage operations team through the shift managers</span></li> <li><span>Cover for shift managers where necessary</span></li> <li><span>Manage local IR issue with trade union</span></li> <li><span>Embed 3M process in the operations team</span></li> <ul type="circle"> <li><span>Chairs Weekly Operations Meeting (Tier2)/ Manages Actions from the same.</span></li> </ul> <li><span>Owner of equipment from a change control standpoint</span></li> <li><span>Responsible for Production related downtime (CIPs, startups, adherence to production schedule)</span></li> <li><span>Accountable for adherence to all quality and EHS systems</span></li> <li><span>Responsible for environment health and safety performance/behaviour of the operations team.</span></li> <li><span>Manage production facing contracts</span></li> <ul type="circle"> <li><span>Cleaners, contract forklift drivers</span></li> </ul> <li><span>Responsible for embedding values and behaviours amongst operation team</span></li> <li><span>Feedback to SLT stakeholders on management processes and in particular, highlight issues that impact upon the operations team</span></li> <li><span>Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards</span></li> <li><span>Be responsible for production output and finished product quality</span></li> <li><span>Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results</span></li> <li><span>Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus to the production team</span></li> <li><span>Work with the HR Business partner to recruit, manage and develop plant staff</span></li> <li><span>Leadership role in the operational management of the Plant playing a key role in the delivery of the core Plant KPIs</span></li> <li><span>Actively lead and promote a culture of Safety, Compliance, Excellence and Continuous Improvement within the Operations teams</span></li> <li><span>Input to Ballitore’s Change Control management system in line with the requirements of the production environment</span></li> <li><span>Continuously improve operating performance through development and implementation of strategies for capacity enhancement, customer fulfilment &amp; efficiency</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>Key Requirements:</strong></span></p> <ul type="square"> <li><span>Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management role in a food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment</span></li> <li><span>Advanced organisation and planning skills.</span></li> <li><span>Demonstrated knowledge of RCA tools (Root Cause Analysis) and lean manufacturing techniques.</span></li> <li><span>Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.</span></li> <li><span>Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Process Improvement or product development,</span></li> <li><span>Results driven, customer focused with high performance capability in a fast moving challenging business environment</span></li> <li><span>Demonstrate strong technical ability and attention to detail to do the job at a high level of accomplishment</span></li> <li><span>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to bring people with them for the best outcomes</span></li> <li><span>Ability to analyse data, recognise trends and recommend actions to drive continuous improvemen</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>About us </strong></span></p> <p><span>Through our expertise in rese
