Visiting Assistant Professor of Accounting

The School of Business at Daemen University invites applications for a one-year part-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Accounting teaching position. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching 5 courses during the 2024-25 AY. 

Besides teaching, the faculty member is responsible for the following throughout the 24-25 AY:

• Attend all faculty department meetings

• Serve on department committees

• Keep office hours as required by faculty handbook (6 hours per week)

• Assist with Accounting student recruitment.

  • Attend Open Houses or other related promotional events

  • Meet with prospective students

• Attend Networking Events

• Assist with growing the program though outreach to Accounting firms and local high schools 

• Assist with adjunct hiring

• Assist with administrative duties related to Volunteer Income Tax Service Learning program

• Obtain any training deemed necessary or beneficial to responsibilities at Daemen (typical costs covered by Daemen if required or suggested by University)

• Assist with curriculum review and development 

• Assist with Accounting club
