Job Description

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Retail Patrol in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a prestigious retail location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, supporting a positive experience for all visitors. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your patrol responsibilities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergencies when needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a welcoming environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the location to observe for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings as required.
• Document incidents and complete daily activity reports accurately, maintaining clear communication with Allied Universal management and site contacts.
• Assist with wayfinding, provide directions to visitors, and support customer interactions in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
