You’ll be joining the cross-benefit discovery team whose mission is to build and deliver scalable customer experiences that enable Prime Video streamers to discover the full breadth of their Prime benefits. Because we know that distraction-free video watching is so important, we are focusing on creating new, device-specific experiences that seamlessly expose the value of Amazon Prime to our customers. Key job responsibilities
Basic qualifications
1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the complete software development life cycle, including OOA&D, coding standards, frameworks, design patterns, source control management, build processes, automated testing, and operations support
Deep knowledge of Distributed SOA Architecture, Microservices, DB knowledge, Java, and various AWS technologies
Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
Preferred qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software features, solve problems, and establish technical designs
Experience with building high-performance, highly-available and scalable distributed systems.
A willingness to dive deep, experiment rapidly and get things done.
Experience with clients such as Android, iOS, Web technologies, React/JS is a plus.
