As Field Technician, Goldsby, you will play a key role in supporting the safe and reliable operation of equipment and facilities by performing operational, mechanical, and instrumentation/electrical tasks. You will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace equipment as needed while helping maintain pipeline systems in compliance with applicable contracts, regulations, and safety standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities, including equipment health, security, audio/visual/olfactory checks, liquid handling systems, and dehydration systems.
  • Conduct pipeline pigging and hydrate management activities.
  • Start up, shut down, and operate gas compression equipment.
  • Maintain pipeline right-of-way markers, signs, vegetation, and exposures.
  • Support One-Call pipeline locating, encroachment, excavation, and crossing activities.
  • Maintain records in accordance with pipeline regulatory requirements.
  • Inspect, calibrate, and repair meters and associated equipment, including meter tubes/plates, ultrasonic meters, and flow computers.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, and manual valve actuators.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of fixed equipment such as filters, strainers, and dehydration systems.
  • Conduct inspection and maintenance of instrumentation and electrical equipment, including transmitters, switches, fire eyes, hazardous gas detection, and level detection devices.
  • Operate PLC and HMI equipment, software, pipeline valves, and actuators, and maintain and repair motor control equipment.
  • Supervise and direct field crews and coordinate with on-site contractors to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

 

What You’ll Bring – Required

 

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3 or more years of oil and gas operations experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to:
    • Lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Occasionally exert pulling force of 130 pounds.
    • Regularly stoop, squat, kneel, and crouch for durations up to 30 minutes.
    • Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines.
    • Work inside gas plant conditions as well as outside in inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
    • Work in a loud environment.
    • Periodically pull and push doors open to move around the gas plant.
    • Occasionally climb A-frame ladders.

Compensation Range 

This position has a base salary range of $74,970 – $113,960.
