Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst is to develop, plan and implement technology solutions to meet business needs. They are the liaison between the business community, technology organization and external partners to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver recommendations to executives and stakeholders. 

This position will require concurrent work on disparate projects, including but not limited to system implementations to organizational efficiency initiatives to business development opportunities.  

The Business Analyst must be able to develop comprehensive requirements documents and process flows, define project scope and objectives, coordinate / lead system and solution testing with business stakeholders and Quality Assurance team, conduct and document user acceptance testing, and identify and mitigate risks / issues to deliver the project scope. 

The ability to professionally engage and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including C-level executives, is a fundamental requirement for this position. 

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.   

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Effectively gather, document, and analyze business needs and requirements

  • Manage and supervise requirements and changes throughout project lifecycle

  • Plan and coordinate various types of validation and acceptance testing to ensure requirements are met

  • Audit, analyze, summarize overall performance, and provide results during follow-ups and leadership debriefs 

  • Execute multiple projects simultaneously without compromise to standards and excellence

  • Develop business/financial models and metrics to address business critical issues and prioritization

  • Facilitate cost and effort estimation sessions with developers and third-party solution providers

  • Communicate effectively in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment with technical and non-technical teams and executives to drive IT strategy and achieve organizational objectives

  • Validate deliverables meet organizational and customer scope and quality expectations

  • Identify opportunities for execution and process improvement, including policy, standard, and guideline recommendations

  • Facilitate resolution of audit findings and monitor cyber risk assessment plans

  • Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization and commercial partners

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age

  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent in a relevant discipline  

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 

  • 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in field of information technology or systems

  • 5 years of IT industry or equivalent technical experience (e.g., engineering, software development, networking, etc.)

  • Demonstrated experience in business requirements analysis and documentation, data mapping and test planning, process mapping

  • Advanced understanding of Agile methodology, BPMN, UML, and user interface design

  • Working knowledge of process modeling tools and enterprise modelling suites

  • Familiar with compliance and privacy regulations such as:  PCI, GLBA, SOX, GDPR, Basel III, HIPPA, COPPA, FCRA

  • Familiar with cyber security technologies and solutions

  • Familiar with end user solutions including identity management and user authentication

  • Familiar with cloud platform services and their orchestration including, but not limited to, Alibaba, Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform

  • Familiar with identity strategies and application integrations

  • Familiar with technology infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, Wi-Fi, telephony as well as end user computing technologies
