Job Description
Specific Education & Experience Requirements:
9+ years of experience with BS degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
7+ years of experience with MS degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
PhD with no post-doctoral assignment.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Independently plans and executes assigned experiments that support Process Development activities and project goals.
Independently executes reactions and makes key observations during reaction, work-up and isolation.
Experienced with Pilot Plant operations and able to write master batch records and safety summaries and/or coordinate the documentation preparation processes.
Pays particular attention to avoiding reactions and processes that do not scale well.
Designs new experiments to support development of drug substances and drug products or techniques to test such substances.
Presents results of work, interprets data, and draws conclusions regarding presented material and nature of work.
Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires comprehensive evaluation of many factors.
Acts as a resource for other employees within the department.
Maintains high level of expertise through familiarity with scientific literature and applies appropriately to development projects.
Demonstrates effective communication skills and interpersonal skills to communicate objectives and results.
Fosters collaborative communication and problem solving spirit.
