Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented an Associate or Experienced Supplier Maintenance Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Seattle, WA.
Applies engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to support product support engineering and analysis of moderate complexity to ensure supportability, sustainability, reliability, maintainability and operability of products and services throughout its lifecycle. Supports product definition, design and configuration. Participates in defining, evaluating and maintaining engineering supportability, maintainability, and operability requirements for products, systems and programs. Assists with analyzing data to produce support, flight operation and maintenance equipment requirements. Supports the evaluation of engineering changes based on customer requirements, supports program changes and implementation. Prepares plans, researches, develops, analyzes, and designs, modification and repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, Safety and company requirements. Supports continued airworthiness. Applies planning and design criteria to develop integrated support and maintenance infrastructure. Provides engineering and on-site technical assistance to customer’s products, including ground support equipment, training devices, training facilities, operations facilities and maintenance facilities. Supports proposal development.
As a Supplier Maintenance Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and quality of aviation systems by overseeing and validating maintenance and repair support provided by suppliers. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough reviews, both in-office and on-site, to validate that supplier engineering data adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for engaging with customers to address any issues related to supplier support, ensuring a seamless resolution process.
Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate (Level 2) and Experienced (Level 3) Supplier Maintenance Review Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with suppliers to develop, assess, and optimize maintenance and repair procedures for aviation systems, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and industry standards.
Conduct detailed technical reviews of supplier-provided maintenance procedures, and documentation, focusing on accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with engineering requirements.
Utilize engineering analysis techniques to scrutinize maintenance data and service reports, identifying technical inconsistencies, deviations, and potential failure modes.
Verify the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of maintenance data with specified requirements and industry standards.
Perform on-site technical validations of maintenance data with suppliers, utilizing engineering tools and methodologies to verify system integrity, functionality, and compliance with design specifications.
Develop and implement robust quality assurance processes, incorporating engineering principles and methodologies to ensure the integrity, reliability, and safety of maintenance activities.
Apply engineering principles and knowledge of system architecture to ensure that maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations, design standards, and industry best practices.
Participate in technical reviews, audits, and inspections to assess the effectiveness of maintenance processes, identify technical deficiencies, and propose engineering solutions for continuous improvement.
Provide technical leadership and support to suppliers, offering engineering guidance, expertise, and recommendations to optimize maintenance and repair methodologies, resolve technical challenges, and enhance system performance.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seattle, WA.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.
1+ years of supply chain, business operations, technical/aviation support role or enginee
