Summary of Job Duties:
The Commercial Truck Driving Instructor, under the direction of the Director Business & Industry Relations ensures excellence in teaching and learning by providing high quality, relevant, and valued instruction in the subject matter.Faculty Responsibilities
• Develop course syllabi, teaching resources, and related activities and provide instruction for assigned courses
• Work effectively with the Director to develop, enhance, and promote the truck driving program
• Effectively advise Consortium students
• Maintain a weekly schedule consisting of at least 40 hours of combined instruction and office hours. Student advising shall be scheduled Monday through Friday during normal working hours or by appointment
• Be available to instruct a minimum of one evening course as required to assist in providing responsible and flexible access to educational opportunities for students
• Assist in providing services that develop and enhance students as members of the college community
• Implement and use individual and program techniques that assess learning, improve instruction, and improve program outcomes
