Sign-on Bonus: $1,000.00 to be paid incrementally during 1st six months of employment ($500.00 at 90 days and $500.00 at 180 days).

The Pharmacy Production Lead (B3) supports daily pharmacy fulfillment operations by coordinating workflow, monitoring production volumes, and providing real‑time operational guidance in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. This role serves as a lead resource on the production floor, helping ensure daily service, quality, safety, and productivity goals are achieved.

Based in Cheektowaga, NY, this is an advanced individual contributor role that does not have formal people‑management authority but regularly directs work, supports staffing coordination, and provides peer leadership across large operational teams.

Scheduled Sunday–Thursday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PMMandatory overtime required as needed to support production demands

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Maintain daily production workflow in alignment with service level, quality, and volume goals
  • Facilitate daily team operations to ensure retail, mail, and specialty work is completed by priority
  • Serve as a point of contact for operational and customer‑related issues, supporting investigations and responses as needed
  • Support general pharmacy production operations including order filling, replenishment, receiving, dispensing, sorting, shipping, and returns processing
  • Monitor and control Conveyor System Controls (CSC) to regulate workflow and resolve real‑time exceptions
  • Adjust production flow by releasing work, pausing lines, or redirecting volume to maintain efficiency
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate conveyor, system, or workflow issues to minimize disruptions
  • Plan and manage daily workload, including forecasting volume and supporting overtime coordination
  • Coordinate staffing assignments throughout the shift, adjusting assignments based on workload and operational priorities
  • Direct the day‑to‑day work of up to 40+ associates across functional areas such as picking, packing, and replenishment
  • Lead small work teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicate operational status, successes, and risks clearly with peers, supervisors, and associates
  • Provide informal performance feedback to supervisors while maintaining confidentiality
  • Support training efforts by coaching peers and reinforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure adherence to site security, safety guidelines, SOPs, and 5S standards
  • Retrieve supplies needed to support daily operations
  • Promote company values and maintain effective communication across functional teams

Basic Requirements

  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience
  • High School Diploma or GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated experience working in pharmacy, production, warehouse, or fulfillment operations
  • Experience coordinating workflow or providing lead‑level operational support in a production environment

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a high‑volume environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure production setting
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands in real time
  • Comfort making decisions and directing work during high‑pressure operational situations
  • Experience coordinating, directing, or leading the work of large teams (up to 40+ associates) during a shift without formal people‑management authority
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and operational systems
  • Experience operating production systems, conveyors, or workflow controls
  • Experience supporting training initiatives or mentoring peers
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement or process optimization concepts
