Job Description Summary

               

The senior internal auditor is responsible for performing individual internal audit projects, as part of the annual internal audit plan. Work performed will include coverage of functional and operating units and focus on operational and financial processes. The senior internal auditor also assists internal audit management with periodic reporting to the audit committee and the development of the annual internal audit plan. All members of the internal audit team champion internal control and corporate governance concepts throughout the business.

Job Description

• Develop internal audit scope and objectives for assigned audit projects

• Design and perform internal audit procedures

• Prepare internal audit reports

• Gather and assess the appropriateness of management corrective actions

• Perform follow-up on the status of outstanding management actions

• Direct and review the work performed by other internal auditors

• Evaluate the design and test the operating effectiveness of internal controls

• Identify opportunities for improvement in processes and recommend changes to mitigate risk

• Coordinate with external auditors and perform direct assist procedures as needed

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required

• 5+ years of experience within internal audit or public accounting

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• SAP experience preferred

• CIA, CPA or CMA designation, prior foodservice manufacturing experience, and data analytics experience preferred

• Ability to travel up to 20% annually, domestically and internationally
