WHY BOX NEEDS YOU 

Box is building a best-in-class Strategic Sourcing Team in the Bay Area, CA and were looking for an energetic and eager Strategic Sourcing Business Partner to support our Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager. In this role, you’ll support the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager by helping with data analysis across key indirect categories, including Marketing, Real Estate/Workplace Services, HR, Contingent Workforce, Professional Services, and the Travel Program. This role will have a heavier focus on system, agentic AI, data-based analysis, overall spend reporting, cost review, savings tracking, and turning data into insights that help drive smarter sourcing decisions.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

  • Partner with the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager to support sourcing activities, vendor engagements, contract execution, and procurement workflows under guidance, with the opportunity to gradually own smaller scale sourcing projects.

  • Assist stakeholders by providing guidance on procurement tools, data insights and sourcing best practices under supervision.

  • Build and maintain Excel-based analyses, including spend reports, cost comparisons, savings trackers, TCO models, vendor pricing reviews, and other sourcing-related data models.

  • Analyze travel spend and procurement data to identify trends, cost drivers, savings opportunities, and areas for process improvement.

  • Assist in managing procurement activities, collaborating with stakeholders and vendors under guidance, with the goal of independently handling the end-to-end procurement process over time

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, gather requirements, review pricing, and support purchasing decisions.

  • Deliver exceptional internal customer service by promptly responding to stakeholder requests, questions, and procurement-related needs.

 

WHO YOU ARE 

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Information systems, Finance, or a related field.

  • 1–3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing or analytics (ideally within a fast-paced technology environment).

  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data cleanup, cost modeling, spend analysis, and savings tracking.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to review large data sets, identify trends, summarize findings, and translate data into clear business insights.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

  • Self-starter attitude with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and eagerness to learn and grow within Strategic Sourcing.
