As an NPD Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for demonstrating technology leadership by planning, scheduling, and coordinating an entire engineering project, typically involving more than one field, and requiring excellent judgement to independently evaluate critical issues in terms of both resources and design criteria. Alternatively, you will be expected to perform as lead individual contributor in key technology areas, advancing the state of the art in flow measurement. Based in Boulder, Colorado we are looking for a technical leader to understand opportunities for enhancement and bring the ability to solve sophisticated problems in a dynamic environment. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Figure out nature, scope, and viability of proposed projects, and assist in deciding if they should be undertaken.
- Delegate assignments to project team members, communicating expectations for completion.
- Design and plan technical aspects of projects.
- Determine the need for outside consultants in specialty areas, and make appropriate recommendations to the engineering manager.
- Schedule and conduct progress briefings and coordination checks to discuss engineering results.
- Monitor and document performance testing of products as necessary.
- Ensure the documentation of all significant design criteria and test data.
- Conduct research and generate reports, delivering essential data to important stakeholders.
- Serve in a mentor role in developing less experienced engineers.
- Define and perform R & D programs in key technology areas.
- Pursue patents, application notes, conference presentations, and other forms of external publications.
You possess an excellent working knowledge of advanced systems engineering and project management principles and techniques, with the ability to solve unprecedented problems, as well as organize and administer successful new product development projects.
For This Role, You Will Need:- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience designing, developing & leading NPD systems engineering projects through the full product life cycle.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience leading projects from a technical strategy perspective.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary project teams in a heavily matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated track record of designing, developing & launching NPD systems (i.e. mechanical, electrical, software) from initial concept to release.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Master’s degree preferred
- Validated experience in effectively coaching, mentoring, and developing individuals or teams is a plus.
- Deep professional understanding of Ultrasonic flow measurement technologies, digital signal processing, engineering simulations or acoustics is ideal.
- Proven history of success in innovation, and a history of patents is advantageous

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary range for this role is $133,61-156,733, annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
