Job Description
Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Perform proactive and reactive maintenance activities with a multi-skilled approach, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols at all times.
- Support the site’s reliability initiatives by identifying failure modes, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to improve equipment performance.
- Assist in scheduling and executing maintenance tasks, ensuring proper documentation of work orders and tasks to maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Actively seek opportunities to improve maintenance processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and contributing to overall plant performance.
- Conduct risk assessments for all tasks using site-specific or dynamic risk assessment procedures to ensure the safety of both equipment and personnel.
- Prioritize employee health and safety, product quality, and environmental protection in all maintenance activities, ensuring all efforts contribute to improved plant performance and reliability.
The Automation Technician I, 3rd Shift will assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues across a range of plant equipment, including conveyors, pallet handling systems, and other manufacturing machinery.
This role will maintain plant equipment and machinery to ensure optimal working condition while driving continuous improvements aligned with operational priorities.
The identified candidate, will perform timely and effective root cause analysis to resolve equipment failures, enhancing efficiency, quality, and overall reliability.
Responsibilities:
Main objective will be to perform Preventative Maintenance on conveyance equipment between production operations.
Secondary responsibilities will be troubleshooting issues that occur during operations (PLC faults, mechanical breakdowns, pneumatic and hydraulic).
Must provide assessments of equipment for corrective maintenance planning.
Conduct surveys with machine operators to determine the quality of equipment in their operational status.
Use Microsoft programs to provide pass down information for shift reports.
Have the ability to climb steps over conveyor system, work in tight spaces as well as at heights.
Operate a forklift, scissor lift and pallet jack.
Details:
3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 9:30 PM – 6 AM
Hours should be flexible based on shift changes.
Must have the ability to work between 9-10 hours if necessary.
Must be available to travel within 1st 6 months of hire for training purposes.
