Assists library patrons and performs circulation tasks such as checking materials in and out, answering phone calls, providing directional information, and maintaining library space and equipment.Job Description:
Description of Duties and Tasks
Performs office duties in support of faculty, staff, and/or student efforts, including word processing, data entry, maintaining files, processing mail, and duplication.
Gathers, compiles, and enters data, producing routine reports and documents.
Produces handouts, fliers, newsletters, brochures, manuals, and other documents.
Answers the telephone, routes calls, or takes messages; responds to and/or directs inquiries in person or on the telephone.
May input budget figures, prepares requisitions, logs and tracks expenditures, takes payments, or issues invoices or bills.
Maintains tracking systems and logs.
Operates office equipment such as copiers and fax machines.
Perform circulation desk duties, including but not limited to checking materials in/out, updating patron records, answering the phone, and removing student holds.
Perform collection and stack maintenance duties, including but not limited to shelving materials, shelf reading, light cleaning, and other assigned tasks.
Knowledge
