Position
Rocky Mountain Laboratories is seeking a full-time Mobile Phlebotomist to support our field-based phlebotomy operations in the Draper, Utah area. This role is essential to patient care and laboratory operations, performing mobile phlebotomy, venipuncture, specimen collection, processing, and transport in patient homes and healthcare facilities.

We currently have one full-time opening and anticipate additional openings in the near future as business needs continue to evolve. Candidates with broader availability across shifts are encouraged to apply.

Schedule:
This is a full-time (30+ hours per week), W2 hourly position.

The primary opening is a Monday through Friday shift from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Additional shifts may become available in the near future and may include:

Monday through Friday
Tuesday through Saturday
Wednesday through Sunday
Saturday through Wednesday

Available shift times may include:

5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
12:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Shift assignment is determined based on business need, candidate availability, and staffing priorities.

W2 hourly Team Members receive an 8% shift differential for hours worked between 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., as well as for all hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays.

Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and specimen collection in patient homes and healthcare facilities
Drive a personal vehicle for daily field operations and specimen transport
Accurately label, document, and process specimens in accordance with laboratory protocols
Ensure proper handling, storage, and transport of biological specimens
Enter patient and specimen data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
Operate independently while managing daily routes, schedules, and time-sensitive collections
Respond to STAT and priority collections as required
Utilize company-issued mobile devices for documentation and tracking
Follow infection control, safety, and compliance procedures at all times
Provide professional, compassionate, and patient-centered care
Collaborate with laboratory and operations teams to ensure a timely workflow
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

At least 18 months of phlebotomy experience, including venipuncture and specimen handling
Current phlebotomy certification or license
Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
Willingness and ability to use a personal vehicle for daily work-related travel
Ability to work independently in patient homes and healthcare facilities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage changing schedules and meet collection deadlines
Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and electronic systems
Ability to meet physical and travel requirements associated with mobile and field-based phlebotomy work
Willingness to comply with background checks, drug screening, and regulatory requirements

Education:
Phlebotomy training or certification required

All positions require time zone awareness, including the impact of daylight saving time, as we are a multi-state organization with teams and partners across different U.S. time zones. Clear communication and timely coordination are essential.
