What You Will Do

Development Operations (DO) Test Systems Engineering (TSE) is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to manage Special Test Equipment (STE) design projects in support of validation and production testing of jet engines and engine components.

• Lead a multidiscipline DO team through an estimating process to provide a comprehensive plan when required to secure future work

• Initiate design kick off. Identify and align on project scope with stakeholders

• Manage design requirements and ensure gap closure by need dates

• Continuously monitor and track project schedule and Estimate at Completion (EAC) to ensure design and fabrication are within cost and schedule constraints

• Prepare and present EV status of all tasks that require EVMS

• Ensure timely completion of project milestones such as design reviews to meet schedule requirements.

• Schedule design reviews, ensuring that presentations are comprehensive, complete, and meet entrance and exit criteria

• Manage the procurement of STE. Periodically track fabrication at outside vendors to ensure on-time delivery

• Continually assess and communicate project status and risks to TSE management, customers, and key stakeholders

• Travel is up 10%.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM

• 5 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree in STEM with 3 years of engineering experience

Qualifications We Prefer

• Knowledge and experience with Project Management toolsets (e.g., Agile, SAP, Primavera, or MS Project)

• Bachelor degree in Engineering

• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, budgets, and schedules

• Knowledge of standard manufacturing methods

• Active Secret Clearance
