As a Tactical Data Links Systems Engineer on our team, you have the chance to design, develop, test, and deploy tactical command and control network capabilities for Air Force missions. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate, modernize and secure tactical data links for unmanned systems. You’ll develop your skills in system analysis and design while gaining experience in Air Force mission sets.

You Have: 

  • 4+ years of experience with the design and development of command and control (C2) systems and data links, and engineering of solutions for digital communications, signals intelligence, and radio frequency (RF) communications

  • 4+ years of experience with information assurance and systems engineering, including system assessment, design definition, system specifications, integration and interoperability, T&E, and logistics, in support of C4ISR requirements

  • Experience with software engineering, development and Agile methodology

  • Experience with Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) and analysis of new and emerging technologies

  • Ability to develop and maintain documentation, specifications, and drawings, and act as subject matter expert in collaboration meetings, including management, design, and technical reviews

  • Ability to interact directly with clients and stakeholders and operate on a collaborative, cross-functional team to identify problems, analyze data, and generate solutions

  • Ability to develop program-level documentation, including briefings, white papers, and transition plans, coordinate and facilitate technical exchanges, and conduct high-level operational planning

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics

  • Ability to obtain DoD 8140 IAT II certification within 90 days of hire date

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with emergent technologies

  • Experience with Tactical Awareness Kit (TAK) family of systems

  • Experience managing engineering and integrating requirements through DoD processes, architectures, and frameworks

  • Knowledge of Software-defined Radios or Tactical Data Link products

  • Ability to work independently

  • Possession of excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
