For Those Who Work At Home - Various, New York 14226Job SummaryThe position is responsible for overseeing Key's Finance risk management functions, inclusive of the SOX Program, through identification, assessing and mitigating risks associated with Key's Finance operations. This role is critical in ensuring Key's Finance's practices align with regulatory requirements, internal policies and the Bank's risk appetite.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and effectiveness of risk and control frameworks within the Finance function to ensure compliance with enterprise risk management program and policies
- Establish and maintain the Finance risk framework, including risk profile, governance, metrics, monitoring, reporting, roles and responsibilities, testing, training, and ongoing assessments.
- Proactively identify and assess risks across the Finance function, including, but not limited to, those related to financial reporting, accounting, liquidity, capital management and third party management
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including recommending enhancements to processes, controls, and systems to address identified risks
- Expand risk management support for Key’s Finance function to enhance the Finance function’s ability to manage risk, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and improve operational efficiency.
- Serves as the Finance primary liaison with Enterprise Risk Management, the RRG and the external auditors, and play a leadership role in regulatory examinations.
- Manage and oversee Finance wide risk reporting to regularly assess and communicate risk health to Finance senior leadership, relevant governance committees, Enterprise Risk Management, and the RRG.
- Ensure control testing and/or monitoring is completed in accordance with Key’s SOX and Risk and Control Self Assessment Programs.
- Identify emerging risks, risks associated with new or changes to existing processes, and oversee the reporting of these risks to management and any relevant committees.
- Regularly assess Finance’s risk practices and ensure they are scaling and evolving in accordance with bank growth and industry best practices.
- Manage a team of professionals. Recruit staff, develop talent, build effective teams, and manage a budget. Identify internal talent and fill key positions, attract talent with required expertise to meet the risk profile of the business, build deep bench strength and develop appropriate succession plans.
- Maintain Key’s internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators, as applicable.

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
- Master's Degree or MBA (preferred)
Experience Qualifications
- 10+ years financial services risk management, finance and/or related experience, (required)
- 3+ years in a leadership role within a banking or financial services environment (required)
- Experience in a risk management, audit and/or control function (preferred)
- Experience in challenging peers, managers and executives with views that may be unpopular and/ or controversial (preferred)
- Ability to direct a team to efficiently execute routine risk oversight responsibilities while also fighting any number of "fires" that invariably emerge. (i.e., high adaptability and calm under pressure) (preferred)
- Strong organizational relationships throughout all three lines of defense (preferred)
Tactical Skills
- In depth knowledge of financial institution operations, risk management principles, SOX compliance, and financial regulations. Strong understanding of finance function processes, including financial reporting, modeling and analytics, third party management, capital management and liquidity risk.
- Experience and success in forming and directing cross-functional teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong managerial and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Curiosity including a strong understanding of risks, controls, and the creativity to imagine what can go wrong in any given process.
