The Strategic Accounts team at AWS believes that artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) represent the biggest opportunities for AWS's largest customers to differentiate themselves and transform their industries. Our AI/ML Solutions Architects are leading these efforts with our customers designing and building ethical and impactful applications, scalable infrastructures and solutions which support data driven ML solutions.

Key job responsibilities
As the Principal Solutions Architect, AI/ML you will be expected to:

Advise, guide and help design an AI/ML strategy which will accelerate the customer's ability to deploy state-of-the-art intelligent systems.
Partner with AWS AI/ML thought leaders and product owners to enable customers to build large-scale ML initiatives with business value top of mind.
Leverage AWS products, managed services and cloud-native capabilities to deliver optimized ML solutions at scale.
Work collaboratively with DBS and Analytics architects to optimize data pipelines which feed AI/ML models and applications
Use programming languages like Python, Scala, C/C++.
Evangelize best practices in all aspects of the AI/ML engineering and modeling lifecycles.
Help recruit, mentor and retain top AI/ML architectural and engineering talent.

A day in the life
As a Solutions Architect specializing in AI/ML, you will provide architectural and technical leadership to a portfolio of customers who are looking to leverage AI/ML applications and systems at scale. You will be the domain expert in AI/ML, guiding architectural design decisions, while demonstrating customer obsession to ensure high availability and performance of the customers machine learning applications. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and be curious while evangelizing the latest innovations and best practices in AI/ML infrastructure, engineering and application design. You will mentor peers and customers while growing your knowledge.

Basic Qualifications


10+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
6+ years working with AI accelerator architecture and leasing model frameworks like Tensorflow and PyTorch.
3+ years of experience with the full ML development lifecycle using modern technology in a business critical setting.
3+ years of hands-on experience developing AI/ML applications on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study or 12+ years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience designing, implementing, and scaling production-ready data pipelines that feed ML models.
8+ years of experience within a large/data-intensive multi-line business environment.
Experience partnering with technology peers responsible for data architecture and distributed computing infrastructure/platforms.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to a variety of audiences.
ML industry impact through conference presentations, papers, blog posts, or open source contributions
