Mimecast is seeking a Specialist Account Executive. In this role, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our Aware solution. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and channel partners to identify and convert new business opportunities into customers. This is a remote position with the ideal candidate located in CST - PST time zones.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with Sales Teams: Work closely with Mimecast Account Executives to develop and execute territory and account plans, driving Aware sales in shared territories and accounts.
- Identify and Pursue Opportunities: Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure new sales opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual new business goals.
- Leverage Channel Partnerships: Partner with the Channel Development team to create and execute account plans that align with business objectives and drive customer success.
- Build Strong Client Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new business prospects, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
- Execute Sales Methodologies: Follow Mimecast’s structured sales methodology and process to ensure consistent success in closing deals.
- Pipeline Management: Regularly add qualified opportunities to the pipeline and oversee pipeline movement to ensure forecasting accuracy.
- Maintain CRM Discipline: Ensure accurate CRM updates, generate Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, and contribute to overall business administration.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with other company functions, including Marketing and Partner Development, to contribute to organizational growth and success.
- Stay Informed and Agile: Attend training sessions, stay current on industry trends, and continuously develop relevant knowledge and skills in a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment.
What You’ll Bring
- Sales Expertise: Proven ability to exceed new business sales targets in large accounts. Experience in SaaS sales, ideally within cybersecurity, governance, or compliance, is highly desirable.
- Consultative Selling Skills: Strong consultative approach to presenting solutions and building long-term client relationships.
- IT Knowledge: Solid understanding of corporate IT teams, their buying processes, and the broader technology landscape.
- Channel Sales Experience: Familiarity with selling through channel partners and leveraging partner relationships to drive success.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Business Acumen: Strong commercial awareness and ability to align solutions with customer needs.
- Team-Oriented Mindset: A collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment.
- Adaptability and Drive: A results-oriented mindset with a positive outlook, tenacity, and a “can-do” attitude.
- Travel: This is a field-based role with up to 50% travel for meetings, events, and partner engagements. A valid US driver’s license is required.
The US base salary range for this position is $104,000-$156,000 base + benefits. This reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. This position may also be eligible for bonus, incentive plans, and other related benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. These factors and individual capabilities will also determine the individual pay offered.
