The Enterprise Technical Program Lead is a key partner within the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) Program, the system of record for nonbank financial services licensing and registration across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam. NMLS supports mortgage licensing nationwide and is used by more than 64 regulatory agencies to license and supervise organizations in the mortgage, money services, debt, and consumer finance industries.
The Enterprise Technical Program Lead provides enterprise-level ownership and coordination of complex, cross-functional technology initiatives supporting NMLS, including large-scale application development, platform modernization, and the launch of new products and services. This position ensures delivery is aligned with business objectives, technical feasibility, security, and operational excellence, while managing dependencies across internal teams and external partners.
The Enterprise Technical Program Lead will act as the single point of accountability for assigned programs, ensuring cross-functional teams clearly understand goals, milestones, and responsibilities, proactively removing delivery obstacles, and maintaining transparent, executive-level communication on program status, risks, and outcomes. This position will also act as a facilitator between CSBS stakeholders and external development partners.
In partnership with business, technology, and regulatory stakeholders, the Enterprise Technical Program Lead will contribute to advancing future strategic initiatives, including the evolution of NMLS toward a desired future state. This may include platform consolidation and modernization efforts, such as enabling a more integrated approach to licensing and supervision activities. This position will further support the future evaluation and integration of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities, to enhance efficiency, insight, and service delivery while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.
