This position will be working onsite from Miami.
Position Summary:
Works closely with the Sr. Manager, PR & Communications, to develop the brand’s strategic PR and content direction and supports the public relations brand initiatives in the Americas to increase brand awareness and affinity for Silversea. This team member is responsible for supporting the global public relations team on important communications strategies while creating and generating positive media coverage and media relations in both consumer and trade media. The position will work collaboratively with the global communications and marketing teams, external PR agencies in the Americas, and content and creative teams to generate earned media coverage all aligning with our strategy and business goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports the development of communications such as press releases, media materials, executive talking points and messaging, etc., and multimedia content including Silversea’s docuseries, fact sheets, press kits, blog, and more.
- Supports and executes on PR and Communication strategies and tactics that supports Silversea’s marketing strategy.
- Assists in establishing goals and priorities for multiple areas including brand communications, media relations, earned and owned media initiatives, crisis communications support, and brand reputation.
- Partners with the core global markets to support their localized efforts of the brand’s PR strategy and editorial calendar as needed.
- Assists in updating and maintaining the brand’s press center.
- Contributes to the creation of videos, photos, infographics and more in partnership with creative team, product marketing team, social team, and more to develop and execute owned content strategies that support business priorities and media relations efforts.
- Support the development and evolution of the brand’s blog, including the creation of a new content sourcing model.
- Builds and maintains working relationships with key media, including trade and consumer media.
- Builds and maintains positive working relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Collaborates closely with the social media teams on integrated campaigns.
- Builds strong relationships with key internal team leads in marketing, sales, revenue, hotel operations, global offices, and product development to ensure consistency of brand messaging, companywide and globally.
- Supports US PR agency to leverage and maximize product publicity and promotion.
- Maintains editorial calendar inclusive of the integration of press familiarization’s budget and supports execution of travel and onboard logistics for global PR team.
- Supports and prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports and tracking.
- Supports on strategic and tactical communication tasks including but not limited to: Executive speech writing, press communications, media briefing documents, etc.
- Responds to US media inquiries and assists with fact-checking under tight deadlines.
