Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Bridge Inspection Team Leader for employment in the Hunt Valley, MD office. The responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Structural Inspection Team Leader for bridges and ancillary structures.
- Performing condition inspections of highway or other structures in a variety of environments including confined spaces and at height (proper training and personal protection equipment will be provided).
- Performing assignments related to the design, analysis, rehabilitation and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary structures.
- Preparing engineering related calculations and developing drawings and visual aids.
- Working under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS plus 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Valid US Driver’s License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
- Due to the nature of the work US citizenship is required
- Certified as a Bridge Inspection Team Leader in Maryland or the ability to obtain in Maryland within 6 months of hiring
Preferred Requirements:
- NHI Certification for Bridge and/or Ancillary Structure Inspections (NHI Courses 130055, 130078, and 130087)
- Professional Engineer License.
- Fundamental understanding of structural engineering principles, including steel and concrete design
