The Recruitment & Events Coordinator, Career Center is vital in the McDonough Career Center’s recruiting and networking activities with employers and alumni. They directly support our career coaches for all employer/alumni and student recruitment and networking activities, which promote job and internship search and placement for all full-time and part-time McDonough graduate students. These activities also ensure that hundreds of employers, alumni, and recruiters are provided the highest level of service as they engage with our students. Additionally, the Recruitment Coordinator supports all other operational functions for the entire McDonough Career Center, including day-to-day scheduling, support, and maintenance with occasional project management. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Operations, the Recruitment & Events Coordinator serves on the Operations Team, which supports all employer, recruiter, and student engagement activities for the McDonough Career Center, and has duties Include but not limed to:
Manage logistics and support on-campus recruiting activities and all alumni/employer networking events.
Provide administrative support to the associate dean, assistant deans & senior directors of strategic operations and career curricular/communications, as well as assisting Career Center team members (for example, setting up meetings).
Assist career coaches with job postings in MCV by approving job postings submitted by employers and alumni accurately and promptly.
Work with employers to schedule on-campus presentations and interview dates, balancing employer needs, student needs, and the academic calendar.
Collaborate with Career Coach Lead(s) in updating annual guides for students and employers.
Ensure that the McDonough Career Center office reflects a consistent level of professionalism.
Requirements and Qualifications
2-4 year college degree
A minimum of 2+ years of relevant professional experience
Demonstrated administrative and/or event planning experience in a demanding environment is a must
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Computer and web literacy (Microsoft Office and Google Suite, including excellent skills in Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, and PowerPoint/Slides)
Competence and high comfort level with learning new computer software, including the career management system - preference for McDonough Career View/12Twenty
Outstanding written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a recruiting or events coordinator in a higher education or corporate setting
Knowledge of design software
Familiarity with databases, customer management systems (CMS), or customer relationship management (CRM) tools
