Job Summary:
The Adult Sports Lead position is an integral part of the City of Greeley’s Recreation Division and is responsible for the on-site supervision and management of recreation services, programs, and events. The Adult Sport Program Lead will report to the Recreation Coordinator and provide oversight and leadership to hourly staff and volunteers. The Program Lead is expected to exercise sound judgment and effectively serve all areas of the program. The Program Lead will also be the go-to person for all after hour programs or events where the Coordinator cannot be present.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
Minimum Requirements
- Three (3)+ years of officiating experience.
- Three (3)+ years of customer service experience.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required within 30 days of hire.
Preferred
- Supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of the business and organizational structure of Colorado municipalities.
- Knowledge of how the game is played.
- Collaboration skills, including the ability to work with others from different areas and backgrounds to reach a common goal.
- Computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and learn and experiment with new software and systems.

Essential Functions:
- Aids in the oversight and delivery of Greeley Recreation programs, services, and special events, supporting and leading other part-time staff including, but not limited to, officials and scorekeepers.
- Prepares gym/field for play by setting up any necessary equipment and inspect the site to ensure participant safety.
- Works effectively and productively in a fast-paced environment.
- Explains and enforces facility and/or program rules, policies, and procedures while positively representing the City.
- Provides first-rate customer support to members, guests, participants, and the public, resolving immediate concerns as best as possible with the established guidelines and framework of the facility and/or program.
- Acts quickly, calmly, and appropriately in emergency situations.
- Runs and/or assists with staff meetings and trainings.
- Holds both office and field hours performing administrative tasks and program facilitation.
