Introduction:
Trimble is recruiting for a Channel Tools Product Manager to fill a critical role within the Management and Execution Systems Product Management team. This position will be critical to enabling the Trimble strategy of Connect and Scale. Primary responsibilities include defining, designing and leading the development of the channel tools that span our display, web and mobile applications, that are required to meet the needs of the channel partners we serve. =
What You Will Do:
This role has lead responsibilities in every aspect of the Product Management job function for the Channel Tools features, but will have support from fellow Ag Product Team members focusing on other areas.
Customer Segmentation and Value Propositions: strive to understand how our customers and channel partners run their business, make buying decisions and perceive value. Identify pain points and customer value propositions and product positioning by segment. This requires the ability to act as a business analyst when solving complex customer problems.
Voice of Customer: Assist in VoC to understand key customer and channel partner pain points and potential for differentiated value propositions, leading to solutioning.
Roadmap and Backlog Grooming: Assist in building the 3-5 year channel tools strategy/roadmap. Prioritize execution including product rationalization, lifecycle management, and support escalation management.
Feature Definition and Planning Lead: Translate VoC to customer needs and market requirements. Engage engineering to define technical requirements, bringing the voice of the farmer to the design of the product.
Agile Development Product Lead: Work with technical leads to help plan development efforts for the agile software teams.
Product Feature Validation: represent the end user by testing new features and providing real-time feedback throughout the development process.
Go-To-Market: direct Go-To-Market messaging by collaborating with the Trimble Ag Marcom team on targeted market segments and new feature value propositions.
Issue Resolution: Act as primary point person to coordinate resolution of any major customer issues in collaboration with the global support team, resellers and end users.
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:
5+ Years of Product Management experience
Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Methodologies
Domain expertise in Precision Ag Technologies is useful but not required
Experience executing go-to-market strategies
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and lead customers
Bachelor's degree in technology, GIS, agriculture or related discipline
Knowledge of Jira, Salesforce is helpful
SaaS business model and metrics
