Job Description:

Zurich Insurance in Stockholm are looking for an experienced Risk Engineer who is able to combine technical expertise with business knowledge to help our customers achieve their risk management objectives in a pragmatic way. As a Risk Engineer at Zurich, you are responsible for understanding, managing, and covering risks. You will be visiting our customers on-site, facilitating risk assessments and presenting your findings to the customer’s management and to our own underwriters. This will support the underwriters in their risk selection processes. Besides general occupancies we have customers within the Pulp & Paper, Powergen, Steel, and general Heavy Industry sectors.

You will have technical customer responsibility and work in close cooperation with our Underwriters, Claims Handlers, Relationship Leaders, and Customers. Additionally, you will have account engineering responsibility.
 

Besides traditional property engineering you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop yourself within Construction Engineering and Renewable Energy performing desktop assessments and assessments in the field.
  • Join one of our Global Technical Committees.
  • Work together with a truly global team of risk engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Solid experience working as a property risk engineer in the insurance industry, preferably within the Pulp & Paper, Powergen, Steel or general Heavy Industry sectors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Swedish Language: Fluent preferred but as minimum C level.
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering.

  • Strong relationship builder.
  • Ability to deliver clear and engaging presentations.
  • Ability to think critically and develop effective solutions for managing and mitigating risks.<
