This position is responsible for:
Providing and coordinating nursing care to the pediatric population and collaborating with other professionals on an institutional, community, state and national level.
Performs complete and accurate patient assessment or reassessment. Responsible for patient flow of clinic to include obtaining vital signs, capturing and entering patient information into the EMR, performance of basic laboratory tests and entering results in EMR. Also responsible for collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, in office testing, and rooming patients. Ensure provider's orders are carried out and assists provider with procedures as necessary. Familiar with pharmacokinetics, contraindications, side effects, mode of administration of all medications provider prescribes. Facilitates medication authorization and handles telephone calls with documentation in EMR. Ability to cross cover in other divisions of the clinic.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in Nursing required
- BSN Preferred
- Current BLS certificate through American Heart Association required.
- Current licensure in Florida as Registered Nurse.
